My Morning Routine

To start off my morning routine, I need to tragically wake up from my sleep and scroll on my twitter and Instagram feed for about 20 minutes before declaring I’ve been in bed long enough and getting out of bed into the bathroom. After brushing my teeth (yes, I brush them before and after breakfast because I can’t eat breakfast with a morning mouth nope), I wash my face thoroughly with warm water and give it a good scrub with a face cloth. I then go back into my bedroom and moisturise my face with the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water gel (check my blog post review about it #plugg). However, I barely have any of the water gel left so my brother and a few reviews that I’ve seen online have said that the Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb is fab for dehydrated skin, so I will be trying that on in the next few days and maybe I’ll do a Garnier vs Neutrogena post one day? With the weather changing, skin types begin to change and exaggerate, and I really feel like this winter, my skin is going to be very dry and I don’t think I’m ready for it and I really hope I’m wrong. But, if I’m right about this, I’m going to need all the moisturising product I can get my hands on.

I then spray some Mario Badescu Facial Spray (with aloe, herbs and rose water), if I am wearing makeup then I use the spray after I apply my makeup to help it set, but if it’s a full natural day, I just spray it on after the Hydro Boost. I use 3 pumps to make sure there is a little bit on each part of my face and then leave it for a minute or so to give my skin the chance to absorb all the good stuff. So, I don’t rub it in, I simply let the spray soak into my skin. I would then put some Carmex on my lips to moisturise them, because in all honesty lip care is also important. Nobody wants chapped lips, especially with it being autumn now and winter approaching, the seasons of chapped lips is upon us. I apply some E45 cream on my dry rash neck and that honestly is it. I hope that my bedtime routine will be a lot more interesting than this. In my opinion, I believe that simplicity is key when it comes to skincare. I’m all for face masks and things, and I do love testing new things out too, but that’s about it, I like trying them, I don’t like adding too much to the mix when it comes to daily routines. If the product is genuinely good, then I will perhaps incorporate it into my routines, for example, the Hydro Boost, it was THAT good, that I use it every single day. When I use face masks and try to test new products out, I usually do them during the evening or before my bedtime routine.

So, maybe that’s something you can keep on waiting for, I hope you’ve all enjoyed this. In the next few weeks I will be posting my everyday makeup routine and a bedtime routine, so stay tuned for them. Have an amazing week, stay safe and stay blessed my friends!
