When Winter arrives, dry skin is at its pure peak and it has to be the only thing I hate about Winter, it pureeeee stresses me out I swear down. So, this post is essentially my top moisturisers that I tend to use during Winter periods to help control my dry, flaky skin. Some that are mentioned will already have been reviewed on its own or I plan on reviewing it on it’s own, hence I won’t be going into full detail about the moisturisers. I’m not going to lie, I currently use all of these moisturisers as part of my morning routine because I am odd and my skin NEEEDS it.

Diprobase

Diprobase is more so one of those moisturisers that are lowkey prescribed to you because your dry skin is borderlining eczema lmao. I kind of use diprobase as a base for my moisturisers if you will, and I tend to buy it from Bodycare because it is sooo much cheaper buying it there than buying from the pharmacy. Diprobase is kind of thick but not really once you’ve massaged it into the face and neck. Please never forget to moisturise your neck as well because there ain’t nothing worse than a dry ass neck. If you were looking for a simple cheap moisturiser that left your skin with a smooth ‘matte’ kind of finish, I would definitely recommend Diprobase, I’ve gone through 2 tubes of this since September LOL IM A DRY MESS.

Now, if you’re a common reader of my blog, you would have already seen my post on Cetaphil and my pure love for it, which is why I’m not going to go into massive detail about it. It’s a bit wild and that but I use this when my brother takes the Kiehl’s Facial Cream (that will be discussed after this section), and it works as a fab replacement. I really love Cetaphil, again it’s on the cheaper side and it works absolute wonders but is a bit more of a tacky finish than a ‘matte’ one would. I tend to use this one or the Kiehl’s after my Diprobase.

The Kiehl’s Facial Cream is the most expensive one out of the ones I am mentioning in this post, it’s a bit more on the pricier side but I tell you what, it’s bloody worth the money. You can use the tiniest amount and massage it into your skin and it will provide your skin with pure hydration for hours. It does say it’s a 24hr one, but nothing is ever 24hr lasting, henceforth I’m saying it lasts a long amount of time, but defo not 24hrs lol. This is the type of moisturiser that you apply onto the skin and it immediately feels replenished and supple. If you are looking for a boujeeeee moisturiser that is worth the money and actually leaves moisture in the skin for a long amount of time, I would definitely recommend this one.

Hyaluronic acid is legit amazing for hydrating the skin. This is a liquid pipette serum that I truly love. These 2 Ordinary products are new products to me, but they are working absolute wonders for my skin which is why I have incorporated them into my skincare. The hyaluronic acid essentially enhances the skin’s hydration, the company doesn’t claim this product to actually have hydration benefits, but the serum sits on your skin and draws moisture out from the inside and out to hydrate the skin. I hope that kind of makes sense. I will be making a proper post about this and the next product because they are new to me and I think it’s going to be interesting to say the least.

I use this one after the hyaluronic acid because both of these products are by The Ordinary, and I feel as though they are a brilliant duo, like an unstoppable combination. The moisturiser is made up of multiple goodies for the skin that work together to create a barrier of hydration around the skin. It isn’t a greasy finish or anything which is perfect and the reason I use this last, I don’t rate looking oily and stuff so I use this non-greasy moisturiser last.

So to conclude lol, I love moisturisers, a key aspect of healthy skin is having a moisturiser that works for your skin, my skin is obviously dry as fudge as you’ve read. These moisturisers works so good for my skin, and the mad dryness is the pure reason I use a mass amount of moisturisers in the winter time. Well, this is it for this one lols, let me know what else you want to see in the blog, more makeup reviews? Makeup pictorials? Guides? More wordy waffle ones? Let me know and I will take you up on the offer. Stay safe and stay blessed, my friends!
