I was bored at 1am, hungry, thinking about food, then i remembered being in primary school and making chocolate nests and how amazing, fun and nostalgic it made me just thinking about it. Well, this led to me texting my sister about making them so I didn’t forget about it.

So, ingredients you’ll need include Shredded Wheat Cereal (or cereal of your choice, e.g. Cornflakes?) Mini Eggs Chocolate Bars (I used 5 bars) Cupcake Cases Muffin Tray Large Bowl Hot water Pan Mixing spoon First thing we did is boil some water in a pan, then put the large bowl on top of it to melt the chocolate in. We melted them one bar at a time and made sure we kept mixing it so it doesn’t burn or leave clumpy bits of chocolate.

We then added the cereal in (we used about 6 biscuit bar things of shredded wheat), we added them one bar at a time too making sure that each and every strand was covered in the nice, warm, runny, melted chocolate!!!!

Next, we put a cupcake case into each muffin hole in the tray and used a spoon to dollop the mixture into the case. We added the decoration on top, 3 easter eggs OR maltesers onto each nest. You can obviously use any topping you want, or none at all if you don’t want to!

Finally, we left it in the fridge to chill and harden for about 2 hours. Trust me, they tasted beautiful! I’m currently in the hospital typing this up and I am craving one soooo bad, I’m starving and tired. I hope you all enjoy ‘baking’ these, let me know the outcome of you attempt them, tho it is extremely difficult to not get this right! Stay safe and stay blessed, my friends!
