MOTIVATION?!

I feel like motivation is completely different for everyone, it's about what you do to push yourself to the limit to make sure the result is ace.
I asked a couple of my friends for ideas on what to blog about and a friend said to talk about what makes me do the things I do in life. Now this topic is very broad and can honestly be about anything, so I’m going to plan it out in a way that's easy to follow and works for me and for you I hope.
Now, motivation is like the feeling of need to complete something, a reason(s) for behaving a certain way. When you are motivated, you are pushing yourself, you are doing something for a reason.
So, many of you are probably still in your lovely years of compulsory education or like me, choosing to become indebted to the government and attending uni to gain a degree. In terms of this, motivation is needed in all lengths, whether its revision or writing an essay, either way you need to be motivated to get things done. With education, you have to think about it like this, once you've done that bit of revision, or written up a plan for the essay, or began your homework, you're part way there. You just need to have the patience and keep going. Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, grab a bottle of water, put some music on and just keep going. Make yourself do it, procrastinate for about 5-10 minutes, then get back to it and just keep going. Once you've began it, it's easy to finish it off. It honestly is just a matter of starting the job. I'm not going to lie but for one of my university assignments, I had to write an essay and I waited til the day before to begin writing this essay and once I got into the flow of writing it up, I finished it within 2 hours, which is a madness! I spent an entire month procrastinating and looking for measly quotes that by the time I HAD to begin the essay, it was easy as pie. Sometimes I feel like beginning work a day before the deadline pushes you to make it better because you're under that time pressure and it pushes you and keeps you motivated because you know this is something you must do. Missing deadlines is not something I have never done; it makes me so anxious and scared to miss deadlines. Like, I know nothing bad will happen, you'll simply get an extended deadline or a chance to resubmit in the summer but in that moment, I cannot miss a deadline.
Procrastinating is not an excuse to miss deadlines.
You've been put in this situation, you've been assigned this task, so you better get your ass off your bed and go do your work. You're in school, college, university or work and you've got to finish it. Finish what you've started.
In one aspect, a lot of my motivation is self-satisfaction. I do my work for me, I get things done for me, and I think that is so important. I do a lot of things for the sake of my parents and to make them proud because they have sacrificed a lot to make sure that my siblings and I get the best possible chance at life and to make sure we have a good education. I have never taken my education for granted because there are so many people out there who physically can't go to school because they're going to be fearing getting murdered. So, with that in mind, education is so important and I am so grateful to my parents and I stay motivated to make them proud. Having said that, I do things to make myself proud, this is my life and my work and my things and I want it all to be work I am incredibly proud of. Making yourself proud and doing things you are happy with, is an amazing feeling, you feel super content and so happy. If you aren't an academic person, then you go ahead and prove everyone wrong and use the negatives as motivation to go and do something incredible. Take advantage of opportunities and what is offered to you, work hard and make things happen. Do what makes you happy and stay blessed my friends.
