Makeup Revolution?

My favourite drugstore brand has to be Makeup Revolution. They've recently brought out a new range called Revolution Renaissance and let me tell you when i saw the lipsticks and highlighters on the Superdrug's website i couldn't stop myself from ordering them, so welcome to my blog post simply dedicated to Makeup Revolution.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE LIPSTICK - VINTAGE

This colour as you can see has been used on my lips before and i really love it. I will probably repeat the same thing for all the lipsticks but honestly the colour is on the brown side but has a hint of maroon almost on it as well. I've worn it before and was long lasting (even through food which is the greatest bonus a lipstick can have!). Although i have always preferred a matte finish with lipsticks, this one is kind of glossy but not too much to the point where it is noticeable. It doesn't crack the way some matte lipsticks do on the lips. The gloss is just the right amount. All these lipsticks are hella easy to apply, in terms of the finish is very smooth and just glides across the lips.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE LIPSTICK - PRIME

As you can see this is a pinkish, nude shade that is yet to be used. But after these wonderful photos were taken, i did a quick swatch on my hand and it is a lovely dark shade of nude pink which i'm really into at the moment in terms of pink shades. However, i am more likely to wear this colour at a gathering of some sort rather than wearing it on a normal day e.g. a meal with friends or something.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE LIPSTICK - TRIUMPH

This is the prettiest shade of brown i have ever used on my lips. In my opinion, it is similar to 'MAC Whirl'. It is a light brown but not too light to the point where it looks like foundation on my lips. It is honestly the perfect shade of brown for me.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE LIPSTICK - REBIRTH

You cannot do a lipstick haul of any kind without purchasing some sort of red colour. This colour is actually so cute, it's got a slight orange tint to the tone of the colour and has a more matte finish rather than the slight gloss like the others. I'm not sure if that is the same for all of the rebirth lipsticks but my one isn't as glossy but i still dig it. It's got just the perfect amount of orange tint to the redness and isn't too red either. That potentially makes no sense at all but it does to me and hopefully does with you!

MAKEUP REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE LIPSTICK - AWAKEN

Now as red/brown-ish this may look it is in fact more on the pink scale. When swatched It came to look very similar to Prime in terms of the pink shades. But this is a more lighter shade hence I may not end up wearing this colour. There's a level of pinkiness i wear and i think this lipstick just about steps over that level.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION LIPSTICK - INCLINATION

You're probably thinking I've inserted the wrong picture or accidentally added this lipstick in considering it isn't a part of the renaissance collection, but the lipstick just looked to good to not buy. It has an orange tone to it with a hint of pink. My cousin bought this one before me and i saw it and fell in love with it hence i bought it and i felt the need to share it with all you lovely, lovely people. This lipstick isn't glossy, it is a full matte finish and is a fab natural colour to wear on a daily basis.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION GOLDEN SUGAR 2 ROSE GOLD (BLUSH PALETTE)

This palette offers you a range of different options to use, the two shades on the right end can be used for contour if your skin tone is light enough for it. The two next to that can be used for highlighter and i swear down they are really nice and pigmented. The remaining four are your blush colours and a variety is offered to us. I have used the blush on the second column at the bottom and it worked really well with my skin and was long lasting. I have worn some blushers where it just disappears after a while but this one is actually good and stays on the skin.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION BLUSH PALETTE - BLUSH QUEEN

If this isn't the prettiest blush palette you have ever seen i beg you direct me to a better looking one. This is honestly the most aesthetically pleasing blush palette i have ever seen. I'm not going to lie but i am not the biggest fan of blusher at all but i had to buy this because look at it!! It's super cute! You get a various amount of shades to suit all skin types and it is a fairly big palette considering it is just blushers.

MAKEUP REVOLUTION SKIN KISS - GOLDEN, PEACH AND ICE KISS

The first open picture is Golden Kiss, followed by Peach Kiss, then Ice Kiss.

I bet you're all thinking i am buying far too many highlighters than what i need but let's be honest. You can never have enough highlighters! The skin needs to be poppin'! These highlighters by makeup revolution are honestly they cutest. Makeup Revolution are doing bits with their packaging, and adding the mirror onto it?? It is a blessing!! An makeup that has a mirror attached to it makes it 100% better than it was. Each one looks adorable but in my opinion, i will be using golden kiss the most because that is the one that matches an Asian skin tone more. I'm almost 150% sure i wont be using ice kiss because it simply will not suit my skin tone but that did not stop me from buying it. Out of the three, i have used golden kiss and let me tell you, when you take a picture of it and turn the flash on, you will be blinding the world.

All these products are so amazing and well packasged and lets not forget how damn affordable they are!
